Following the recommended fee schedule put out by the Psychologists' Assocation of Alberta, counselling sessions are currently billed at $220/hour. Assessment costs vary depending on the individual assessment and time involved. All assessment costs will be communicated prior to beginning the process.
Yes! I direct bill to all insurance companies that allow psychologists in Alberta to do so. Please contact me if you're not sure if your's allows direct billing. If your insurance company doesn't allow direct billing, you can easily submit a receipt to them and be reimbursed. Check with your insurance company to see how much you receive annually for psychology services. Some companies also have health spending accounts that you can use for psychology services.
If your insurance company does not allow direct billing, I accept major credit card, etransfer or cash. Credit card payments can be made via the Jane app.
That depends on you and your situation and goals. Some people like to have weekly therapy to start, some prefer bi-weekly, monthly, or as needed. We can discuss what you are hoping for and what we think would work best for you during your first session.
Yes! I have had some very successful couple and family therapy sessions- it is some of the most rewarding work to see people come back together and learn to work together and understand each other in new ways. I have done in-person and virtual couple and family sessions (with family members in different locations!) and both have been equally effective.
Assessment can be a useful tool for different reasons at different times in your life. I provide assessment services to children, adolescents and adults, and provide specific referrals where needed.
